McLaren held its first annual Family Fun Day at Theobald’s Park in Hertfordshire.

The day was a great success with nearly 450 people visiting the Family Fun Day. The weather was beautiful and helped to create a lovely atmosphere for the end of summer event.

There was much to see and do for everyone, from bouncy castles and donkey rides to the tree house magician and the infamous Punch and Judy puppet show. Various fun fair stalls were set up around the venue for people to try their best at different competitions. Bands Dobie Brothers and Duke helped set the mood for the day with music, keeping everyone entertained throughout the day.

The raffle draw and auction had some juicy prizes from personal training sessions with a celebrity trainer to a two night stay on board a luxury yacht.

Donations for Place2Be, McLaren’s corporate charity, were collected all around the stalls and the money from the raffle and auction tickets sold went to the charity too – McLaren managed to raise close to £6,000!

McLaren Chairman Kevin Taylor said: “It was great to see so many children having fun while parents were socialising and relaxing – when not chasing after their children!  The event was perfect from the friendly welcome, great venue, fantastic bands and not forgetting the impeccable organisation. I am sure children and adults alike were exhausted by the end of the day!”

Everyone enjoyed the day and is looking forward to the next Family Fun Day!
