The Victoria Drive project reached an important milestone last month – the first two townhouses on the Cambium Development were handed over to customer Lendlease. It is a testament to all the hard work and efforts the site team has put in this project.

The two townhouses are the first of eight sectional completions on the development. As well completing these, the team have also finished the show apartment, finished to the highest quality.

The Cambium project started in August 2016 and comprises of 55 townhouses and 55 apartments, built on the footprints of St John Bosco College, offering the area a range of two, three, four and five bedroom homes in zone 3 with great access to the city.

Allister Lewis, Project Director said: ”We are extremely happy to have reached this milestone on the Cambium development. I am very pleased of this great achievement for the Victoria Drive site team and it shows how far the project has come. This grit and sheer determination is something that I am really proud of, especially my team and would like to extend my gratitude to all involved for pulling together and completing the show home benchmark units to such a high standard. This has also been echoed by the client’s team.”

Lendlease are a leading developer and the Cambium Development is one of the first projects in which they have chosen an external contactor to take the lead on a project, therefore building a strong working relationship with McLaren Construction.

Over the course of the next few months we will start to see phases of the development completed and therefore handing over the project in late 2018.
