McLaren Property and Citygrove have unveiled plans for the latest addition to Vauxhall’s emerging tall building cluster. The New Bondway tower, designed by leading architecture practice KPF, was revealed at a public exhibition in Vauxhall on Thursday.

In a deliberate step away from the two tower format of many other developments in the Vauxhall tall buildings cluster, New Bondway consists of three distinct elements: a single slender 168m private residential tower, a significantly lower affordable residential ‘south’ block of 80m and a striking glazed horizontal office element bridging the two buildings and intersecting the main tower. This balanced composition creates impressive views from every aspect of the development, delivering light and public realm at ground level and offers exciting opportunities for incorporating significant areas of amenity space for users of the building.

The proposed development will comprise an area of 650,000 sq. ft. including c.450 apartments, 40,000 sq. ft. of flexible office space and 10,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail accommodation. It is anticipated the development will have an end value of £350 million.

John Gatley, Managing Director McLaren Property said: “New Bondway is a significant project for McLaren, bringing together our expertise as a developer with our construction business. The Bondway site is the last key development site in the Vauxhall tall buildings cluster and offers us an opportunity to deliver a world class building combining high quality residential and office space.”
