McLaren are proud to have been one of the main sponsors for The Four Oarsmen’s record breaking achievement – 3000 miles across the Atlantic in an astonishing 29 days, 14 hours & 34 minutes.

Four Brits George Biggar, Dicky Taylor, Peter Robinson and Stuart Watts – aka The Four Oarsmen – crossed the finish line of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge just after 2am UK time on Saturday, 13th January, rowing into English Bay in Antigua. After 18 months of training, they rowed in a sequence of ‘two hours on, two hours off, and repeat’ for the 29 days. The amateur team was six whole days faster than the current world record for a four-man crew.

The team entered the race to fundraise for two fantastic charities – Mind and Spinal Research UK – so far they have raised over £250k.
