Representatives from McLaren Construction were invited to visit Allfarthing Primary School in Wandsworth by children’s mental health charity, Place2Be.

This visit was a highlight of the Place2Be calendar which provided a moving insight into how Place2Be works within the school and the vital role the charity plays in supporting the children and families of the school community. In addition to listening to students’, parents’ and teachers’ experience with the charity, key representatives from Place2Be shared their knowledge and practice of the benefits of early intervention and how children are less likely to suffer from serious mental health difficulties in later life if they receive support at an early age, providing a cost saving to adult mental health services.

Allfarthing Primary School is local to McLaren’s Victoria Drive site in Wandsworth. The site staff provided goody bags with rulers and calculators for all the children who took part in the event.

McLaren Construction Group Ltd has been supporting the charity for a third year running and has managed to raise close to £17,000 for Place2Be in 2016 alone. McLaren is proud to continue supporting the important work the organisation does within schools.
