The chosen charity of McLaren Construction & McLaren Property is Place2Be, which provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools, through talking, creative work and play. The charity works with 282 different primary and secondary schools, reaching a school population of 116,000 children. Through its work, Place2Be helps children and young people to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

2016 was the third year that McLaren has supported the charity and the year proved to be more successful than ever, with McLaren employees going above and beyond the call of duty to raise funds for the cause.

From running marathons, rowing 140 km on rowing machines, taking on muddy obstacle races and abseiling 515 ft down a building were a only few challenges our brave colleagues took on to raise money.

The final fundraising total in 2016 was an amazing £22,359!

McLaren will continue supporting Place2Be and the vital work they do in schools across the country.

Place2Be would also like to thank each and every person who has taken on a challenge and donated – keep it up!
