Two McLaren Construction projects won awards at the annual Considerate Contractors Awards 2017.

25-32 Chancery Lane received a Gold Award and Tune Hotel (now known as Point A) a Bronze Award.

25 -32 Chancery Lane, built for client Viridis Real Estate Services, is set in the heart of London’s legal quarter. This project comprised the retention of an existing façade with eight floors of new office space created inside. External appearance was maintained to an excellent standard and the site also had a lot of community involvement including monthly newsletters and regular meetings with neighbours. The project team hosted several visits for young people interested in construction as well as ensured the environmental impact of the project was thoroughly assessed. Safety on site was outstanding alongside demonstrating workforce care.

Point A Hotel is a 180 bedroom hotel built in trendy Shoreditch for client Raag Shoreditch Ltd. The project demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to improving the image of construction through adhering to the Considerate Contractor Scheme’s five-point Code of considerate practice.

David Miller, Regional Managing Director, McLaren Construction London commented: ‘’We are very proud of this excellent achievement. Both projects worked extremely hard to ensure high standards on site in all five CCS sections. This is a great accomplishment for McLaren and a testament of project success.’’
