This scheme includes removal of the existing facades back to the concrete frame, and the complete demolition of the central core area. These works will accommodate a new entrance and reception area, providing a new main focal point for the building. Major strengthening works to the existing concrete frame will enable additional accommodation to be added at roof level, increasing the floor area to 124,000 sq ft. The envelope is being re-clad with a proprietary brickslip system in addition to extensive areas of curtain walling and structural glazing. Along with the complete replacement of the building services, these enhancements will result in the building achieving a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
