A substantial refurbishment and remodelling programme has been recently carried out to the existing buildings of Harrington Hill Primary School and the former Mount Pleasant Secondary School across the road, increasing the School in size from 1-form to 3-form to help meet the high demand for additional school spaces within the borough.

Internal works to the existing Harrington Hill School building include a newly remodelled main entrance incorporating a secure waiting area for visitors with an adjacent accessible WC.

The Mount Pleasant building now benefits from larger classrooms, two halls and associated kitchen facilities, a large community room, ICT room, combined library, and improved wheelchair access within the building with the insertion of a platform lift.

To improve the security and visibility of the school buildings, both sites have seen significant improvements to the main entrances. These include new access points, landscaping, signage, and new entrance gates with colouful surrounds.

The works were carefully planned and carried out over three phases to ensure any disruption was kept to a minimum, and the School’s scheduled programme and timetable were not compromised at any time.
