Vision
In line with our values, our vision is to ensure Zero Accidents by reinforcing the connection between working safe and getting home safe.
Zero Accidents
Zero Accidents Means through Work Safe Home Safe means:
All our project participants will go home safe at end of each day, with no injury, ill health or incident caused by work activities
Through a ‘five step’ approach we will continue to embed a safety culture within McLaren, to ensure we ‘exceed expectations’.
Our Strategy
Our ‘Work Safe Home Safe’ strategy has been developed to promote safety through these five key steps:
- Engagement
- Change
- Leadership/coaching
- Delivery
- The work environment
Work Safe Home Safe
The Work Safe Home Safe Vision is supported by:
- A comprehensive and fully developed management system in accordance with OSHAS 18001
- Fully trained staff at all levels, especially site management teams – supported by our in house Training Academy
- Access to contemporary health and advice information
- Regular inspections and audits of the companies’ premises and operational construction sites by our SHEQ team

SHEQ Team
Led by Alan Blanchett, the McLaren SHEQ Team focuses on ensuring the protection of our employees, contractors and the general public throughout any project life cycle. Our strategy extends beyond the delivery of our customers’ projects and programmes.
We are committed to protecting the safety, health and welfare of our employees and supply chain. We do this by providing a working environment that is free from harm.
Initiatives
The McLaren SHEQ Department launched the McLaren Wellbeing Campaign in January 2018, which focuses on supporting our staff living a happier and healthier life.
