McLaren Construction appoints new design director for Construction Management and Specialist Projects division

McLaren Construction has appointed Lucy Craig as design director for its Construction Management and Specialist Projects division.
Lucy is an architect and design leader with 20 years of experience in project design and delivery. She led the technical design of major projects and programmes including 40 Leadenhall, Paddington Square and Battersea Power Station Phase 2. Most recently, Lucy was the Mace IPMO Global Design and Engineering Lead.
Lucy gained a Masters in Construction Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2018, which enables her to lead multi-disciplinary, integrated design and engineering teams, aligning with clients’ requirements at the start of a project.
Vince Lydon, managing director for Construction Management and Specialist Projects at McLaren Construction, comments, “Building strong design skills and governance in house is important for complex projects and programmes delivered under a construction management model, where understanding clients’ needs is key from the outset.”
McLaren Construction’s Construction Management and Specialist Projects division is currently delivering Cardiff Arena on behalf of Live Nation and Colmore Gate, the refurbishment of an iconic office tower in Birmingham.

McLaren Construction generated revenues of approximately £1 billion in 2023/2024 and is on course to report a managed increase in annual turnover for 2024/25.
